Rep. Adam Smith, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 9th district, has recently taken to social media to address several important issues. With a background in law and politics, Smith continues to engage with his constituents on matters ranging from local community concerns to global health awareness.

On February 3, 2025, Rep. Adam Smith highlighted the stress experienced by those living near airports and flight paths. He announced his introduction of an aviation package to the House of Representatives, which includes the Aviation Impacted Communities Act. "Airplanes can cause stress to those who live nearby. The following day, February 4, marked World Cancer Day. Rep. Smith took this opportunity to honor both victims of cancer and those working tirelessly towards finding a cure for the disease. "February 4 marks World Cancer Day, where we remember the millions lost to this disease, and all the caretakers, health care professionals, and researchers who dedicate their lives to finding a cure."

Later that same day, Rep. Smith shared that he had spoken with NewsNation regarding Elon Musk's influence over Americans. "I spoke with @NewsNation about Elon Musk's power grasp on the American people."
