Rep. Adam Smith, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 9th district, has shared his thoughts on various issues through recent social media posts. Known for his political career that began in the Washington State Senate in 1991, Smith has been serving in Congress since 1997.

On February 1, Rep. Adam Smith marked the beginning of Black History Month with a simple celebratory message: "Happy Black History Month!"

The following day, February 2, he highlighted the importance of health awareness by acknowledging Wear Red Day: "Today’s Wear Red Day, where we Go Red to save women’s lives to raise awareness for heart attack and stroke symptoms. Pay attention to your health and the wellbeing of your loved ones today and throughout the month."

On February 3, Rep. Smith criticized former President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk for their handling of international aid and national interests: "Rather than promoting U.S. interests, Trump is prioritizing the interests of an unelected billionaire. By 'feeding USAID into the wood chipper,' Trump and Musk are putting millions of lives at risk, hamstringing our ability to effectively compete with adversaries, and undermining…"
