He stated, "Today, I got a phone call from someone I first met 7 years ago...A military family and their daughter, a young trans girl named Blue, came to Washington D.C. and met me. I promised Blue 7 years ago that I would fight to protect the trans community."
On December 12, he commemorated the ninth anniversary of the Paris Climate Agreement by emphasizing its significance in combating climate change.
