He expressed gratitude for meeting with members of A Regional Coalition for Housing (ARCH), stating "With the recent introduction of the PHAZE Act, my commitment to expanding the supply of affordable housing is stronger than ever."
Later that day, Smith addressed the issue of abortion bans in the United States by mourning the loss of Texan Porsha Ngymezi. He extended condolences to her family and reiterated his stance on reproductive healthcare: "Extreme abortion bans in our nation cost lives, just as we tragically lost Texan Porsha Ngymezi too soon."
On November 26, Smith congratulated Somaliland on their recent election results. He conveyed his hopes for peace and prosperity in the region: "Congratulations to the people of Somaliland for their recent election."
