On November 23, Rep. Smith acknowledged Military Family Appreciation Month by highlighting the sacrifices made by the families of servicemembers. He expressed gratitude for their patriotism in a tweet: "Every November, we honor Military Family Appreciation Month, and the sacrifices that the loved ones of our servicemembers make to support our nation. Thank you for your patriotism."

Later that day, he marked National Adoption Day with another tweet emphasizing his legislative efforts to support adoption. He stated: "Today is National Adoption Day, a celebration of the families made brighter and stronger through adoption. I’m proud to have introduced a resolution with @Robert_Aderholt commemorating this day, and I will continue working in Congress to support the adoption community."

On November 24, Rep. Smith addressed the issue of affordable housing in the United States. He pointed out challenges such as restrictive zoning laws and slow permitting processes that hinder new home construction. In his tweet, he mentioned: "Too many families struggle to find affordable housing in our country. Restrictive zoning laws and a slow permitting process are limiting the construction of new homes, exacerbating the housing shortage and making it harder for those who need it most."
