SeaTac crews picked up 175 bags of trash from state right of way in September.
Since January, the City launched several new initiatives to combat litter along local streets and state right-of-way
The effort to clean up state on and off-ramps is thanks to a grant from the Department of Ecology for $40,000. SeaTac crews have been going out twice a month to specifically pick
up litter near highway on and off-ramps. In September, crews have spent 67 hours cleaning up these areas.
In August, crews picked up 60 bags of garbage, spending 20 hours on the side of on and off-ramps collecting litter.
