City of Des Moines issued the following announcement on April 2
The highest priority of the City is to protect the health of our community and our residents. As we do everything possible to observe the Governor’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy order, we need to minimize gathering areas where safe social distancing has not always been practiced.
Until further notice, the City will be restricting parking in the Redondo area to limit gatherings and to promote social distancing. The City parking lot will be closed and parking in the neighborhoods will be restricted to local residents only.
We appreciate your cooperation and anticipate everyone will do their part to reduce the spread of the COVID – 19 virus. Please stay safe and stay healthy. We are all in this together. Just 6 feet apart.
