City adds new events for Winter 2023 with a birthday celebration for the SeaTac Community Center

2023 will bring a new batch of events to the City, including a day-long birthday party for the SeaTac Community Center in March.

The City will host a first ever, Lovely Jazz Night Friday, Feb. 10 from 5 – 8:30 p.m. The community will be able to enjoy jazz music and dancing while also learning more about local jazz organizations at the SeaTac Community Center. Food will be available to purchase. Pre-registration for attendees is required. SeaTac residents will have priority registration until Jan. 10, call 206-973-4680 to register.

A local art showcase will be available to view at the SeaTac Community Center from Feb. 21 – Feb. 24. There is no fee to view the art. Local artists of all ages are encouraged to share their art in any medium for the public to enjoy. Applications and guidelines are available online or at the SeaTac Community Center, applications deadline and drop off Thursday, Feb. 16.

A Community Dinner also known as Community Kitchen Night returns. On Thursday, March 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the SeaTac Community Center. This is an opportunity to learn how to cook a new meal and dine connecting with members of the community. This event is in collaboration with the Food Innovation Network. The food will be from different cultures and this event is FREE. Pre-registration is required, call 206-973-4680 or visit the SeaTac Community Center to register. SeaTac residents will have priority registration until Friday, Jan. 27.

To volunteer in the kitchen email arts@seatacwa.gov. The Community Center will celebrate its 30 Years in the Community. A free, day-long event will take place on Saturday, March 11. A pancake breakfast kicks off the day from 8:30 a.m. –10:30 a.m. or until supplies last. There will be live music. Families can drop by from noon – 3 p.m. for some more fun including a petting zoo, bouncy houses, live music, food trucks and much more. Event to take place at the SeaTac Community Center.
