Federal Way home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Federal Way rose by $20,992 while total sales decreased by 63.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 123 homes sold, with a median sale price of $339,000 - a 6.6% increase over the $318,008 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 335 homes sold in Federal Way in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Federal Way for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,694, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
