Covington home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Covington rose by $79,750 while total sales decreased by 68.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 28 homes sold, with a median sale price of $402,250 - a 24.7% increase over the $322,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 88 homes sold in Covington in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Covington for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,599, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
