Des Moines home prices rise in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Des Moines rose by $48,000 while total sales decreased by 51.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were 15 homes sold, with a median sale price of $373,000 - a 14.8% increase over the $325,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 31 homes sold in Des Moines in September 2016.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,602, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for September 2017.
