Des Moines home prices rise in September 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2018 in Des Moines rose by $36,000 while total sales decreased by 6.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2018, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $409,000 - a 9.7% increase over the $373,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Des Moines in September 2017.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,602, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for September 2018.
