The City Welcomes our new Parks & Recreation Manager
0Comments

On Monday, May 16th, the City of Normandy Park welcomed Aimee Lloyd  to the team as the city’s Parks & Recreation Manager. The Parks  & Recreation Manager position will focus on city parks, building  recreation opportunities and programs, working on special events, and  improving our communication with the public. And we are excited to have  Aimee on the team as she brings wide-ranging experience in all these  categories.

Aimee has extensive experience working with non-profit organizations,  including grant management, reforestation, recreation program  management, contracts, budgeting, volunteer coordination, fundraising,  and event planning. Her leadership and commitment to Normandy Park are  evident from her eleven years of service on the city’s Parks &  Recreation Commission. She brings a unique perspective to this role, and  we are looking forward to the new programs and opportunities that she  will bring to the city.

Aimee holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism and has been a Normandy Park  resident for 13 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and two  dogs, running, gardening, snowboarding, and watching her kids  participate in their sports and various activities in her free time. We  are happy to have her as part of the team.

Coffee with a Cop

On Saturday, June 4th, from 9:00-11:00 am, please join Chief Dan  Yourkoski and other Department personnel at Empire Coffee at the  Normandy Park Towne Center. An excellent opportunity for community  members to meet their police officers and ask any questions they might  have.  We would love to see you there!

2020 Census Data

Last week the Census Bureau released the Digital Equity Act  Population Viewer. This release is an interactive map that shows the  data used to determine fund allocation by the National  Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). The map shows  data at the state level, but we also have a couple of related Census  Quick Facts to share related to internet use. Click here to learn more about the Digital Equity Act of 2021 and the Population Viewer.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with me at aarrington@normandyparkwa.gov. Have a great week!
