The Bird is the Word!

If you visit the Nelson Nature Park this month you will probably notice  ribbons have been attached to various trees. These ribbons are part of a  current Eagle Scout project, wherein

bird nesting boxes are being  placed on trees throughout the park. These boxes will serve as the  future homes for expecting, Bewicks Wrens, House Finches, American  Kestrels,

and Ash – Throated Flycatchers (pictured), in an effort to  boost bird population of all species, and therefore the prosperity of  the ecosystem in the area.
