SR 99 closures coming this month as Sound Transit continues work on Federal Way Link Extension

Sound Transit will be continuing closures on International Boulevard, also known as SR 99, for its Federal Way Link Extension Project this month.

Sound Transit’s Federal Way Link Extension will eventually extend train service from Angle Lake in SeaTac to Federal Way. This means three new stations will be added: one

outside of the City near Highline College, one at the Star Lake Park & Ride and one at the Federal Way Transit Center.

Closure Dates

Oct. 11 – Oct. 13: Full closure of southbound SR 99 at South 208th Street and a left lane closure of Northbound SR 99 from 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. nightly.

Oct. 17 – Oct. 20: Full closure of northbound SR 99 at South 208th Street from 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. nightly.             

Oct. 24: Full closure of northbound SR 99 at South 208th Street from 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. nightly.
