SR 99 closure coming August 9 for Sound Transit work

0Comments

SR 99 will be closed from South 204th Street and South 208th Street on Aug. 9 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

This closure is for the Federal Way Link Extension guideway deck pours.

Last month, Sound Transit closed SR 99 between South 204th Street and  South 208th Street to return SR 99 to its original configuration and remove a temporary bypass.

Sound Transit’s Federal Way Link Extension will eventually extend  train service from Angle Lake in SeaTac to Federal Way. This means three  new stations will be added: one

outside of the City near Highline  College, one at the Star Lake Park & Ride and one at the Federal Way  Transit Center.

Heavy construction will be ongoing, and there are construction  activities in all areas of the project, with some associated traffic  impacts. To find the latest information about traffic

impacts from this  and other ongoing construction projects in the City, please check out  the interactive map here.
