Rep. Adam Smith, who represents Washington’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on his social media account detailing recent activities and constituent engagement.

On August 15, 2025, Smith shared information about a recent virtual event: “Virtual Town Hall August 14 2025 https://t.co/q84MVSLAkg”.

Later that day, he described a visit to a local medical facility: “Yesterday, I toured the BloodWorks facility in Renton and heard about their work to support those in emergency situations. Thank you for sharing your stories and providing the bloodwork needed to care for those in need. https://t.co/GaBBu3PWp9” (August 15, 2025).

In another post from August 15, Smith referenced discussions from his town hall: “During my Virtual Town Hall last night, Candance from Renton asked me about where her tax dollars are going under the Trump administration and how we can push back against ICE raids. https://t.co/Gt1OCFSPl7”.

Smith has served as the representative for Washington’s 9th district since replacing Randy Tate in 1997. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Washington State Senate from 1991 to 1997. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1965 and currently residing in Bellevue, Smith holds degrees from Fordham University (BA) and the University of Washington (JD).
