On February 12, 2025, Rep. Adam Smith highlighted the importance of USAID in global relationships through a tweet. Later on February 13, 2025, Rep. Smith addressed former President Donald Trump’s policies and their impact amidst rising inflation. He remarked: “Trump is focused on all the wrong things. He’s blowing holes in programs across the country and the world as inflation goes up.”
