Rep. Adam Smith, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 9th district since 1997, recently addressed various topics through his social media posts. With a background in law and a history of political service dating back to his tenure in the Washington State Senate from 1991 to 1997, Smith continues to engage with both national and local issues.

On March 18, Rep. Adam Smith issued “My statement on the conflict in the Middle East.”

The following day, on March 19, he reminded his constituents about an upcoming webinar hosted by @ESDwaWorks. He stated, “REMINDER: @ESDwaWorks is hosting a webinar tomorrow at 10 a.m. for federal workers in Washington state to learn about applying for UI benefits and reemployment services. Later that same day, Smith highlighted the importance of Medicaid and Medicare programs amidst past administrative challenges. He noted that “Medicaid and Medicare provide services to support those with mental health conditions… We need to support mental health and its funding.”
