Pro/Con Committee Members Needed for Minimum Wage Ballot Measure

The City Council has acted to place the “Raise the Wage” initiative  measure on the November 8, 2022, ballot, and is now seeking individuals  to serve on the voters’ pamphlet pro

and con committees. Individuals  will be appointed by the Council to provide statements in favor of or in  opposition to the ballot measure. Each committee is limited to three

 individuals, though an unlimited number of people can assist in the  preparation of each statement. Each Committee must designate one  spokesperson.  The Pro/Con Statements

will be due to King County Elections by August 9, 2022. 

If you are interested in serving on either the pro or con committee, submit your name by Wednesday, July 27 at 5:00 p.m. by emailing or calling Laurel Humphrey at

laurel.humphrey@tukwilawa.gov or 206-433-8993. Please be sure to indicate which committee on which  you would like to serve, and whether you are willing to serve as the

committee’s spokesperson. The City Council is expected to make the final  appointments at the August 1, 2022 Council meeting.
