Police arrest teenager after hit-and-run, vehicle chase

SeaTac Police responded to a vehicle incident at the Doubletree Hotel on Sunday, Feb. 12 around 1 a.m.

It was reported that a driver drove into the hotel’s valet area and hit several people inside at the location on the 18700 block of International Boulevard. The driver fled the scene. People hit sustained minor injuries.

An officer began to follow the suspect’s vehicle and the driver refused to stop. The driver drove into an apartment complex where one juvenile jumped out of the car and was detained by police.

As the driver attempted to flee the apartment complex, they hit several other vehicles including a King County Sheriff’s patrol car. Police tried to stop the driver with spike strips but they continued onto southbound I-5. The driver lost control around 272nd and southbound I-5. A driver and passenger were taken into custody from the car.

Police arrested the 15-year-old male driver and 15-year-old female passenger. The passenger who jumped out of the car was also a 15-year-old male. The vehicle used had been stolen hours prior.
