Position Summary

The City of Normandy Park encourages all citizens to consider involving themselves actively in city government by serving on a City Board or Commission.  Applications for

appointment are currently being accepted for Position #7 which is a partial-term position expiring in June 2024.

The Parks Commission meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm. Currently, this meeting is held as a hybrid meeting (remotely via Zoom or in-person).

The seven-member board was created to advise the City Council on matters regarding the expansion and operation of City parks and recreation programs.  The Volunteer Park

Commission members are appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, on the basis of their demonstrated interest in or their knowledge and support of the business

of the City (NPMC 2.24).
